ABOUT DWC
Desert Worship Collective is a community-focused worship ministry dedicated to uniting the Coachella Valley in worship beyond the boundaries of individual church settings. As an independent initiative run by volunteers, we prioritize creating a space where individuals from all walks of life can join together to worship Jesus as one faith and one body.
Our worship nights are intended to foster unity and celebrate the diverse expressions of faith found within the body of Christ. While we value and promote the importance of belonging to a local church, we believe in the power of coming together to encounter God as a collective faith community, regardless of one's season of life or ministry involvement.
Each worship night is a unique and special experience, evidenced by the tangible presence of the Holy Spirit. We believe that gathering as a unified body is not only pleasing to God but also a glimpse of a future where every Gospel-believing church across the valley will join in worship as one voice.

Allison Medina
FOUNDER
Allison Medina’s journey with music began in her grandfather's church, where she was raised singing. Her passion for worship led her to start leading at just 15 years old, confirming a deep-rooted calling on her life. While she has cherished her time in various church worship ministries over the past 30 years, Allison felt a stirring within her soul, a sense that God was calling her to a more expansive purpose.
Driven by this conviction, in early 2023, Allison began a season dedicated to seeking The Lord for direction, longing to understand how she could use her gift to impact the Kingdom beyond the boundaries of her local church home. It was during this time that God placed a clear vision on her heart for a collaborative community worship ministry with a mission to unite local worship leaders in worshiping together as one body. Allison’s passion for connection with Jesus through worship and her desire to express her gifts freely to THE ONE who gave her those gifts, inspired her to create a space where other worship enthusiasts could gather freely, express the uniqueness of their musical gifting, and to celebrate diverse worship expressions together as one faith body. She envisioned a place where worship leaders, often responsible for overseeing their own church worship ministries, could come together with the broader church community without agenda, to be enriched and uplifted. Allison also has a heart for those who are lost, hurting, marginalized, and those who may have been burnt out or misused in ministry, and as a result, not only leave the church but often abandon their faith as well. She is passionate about creating a safe space for people to encounter Jesus through worship in a way that promotes soul-level healing and (re)connection with God and His people.
This vision birthed the Desert Worship Collective.
